Thanks Ricey1 . I reckon I'll be pretty happy just surfing Lohi's , looks like fun .
Stayed at Lohi's back in 2002 when it was called Lohifushi, booked a normal package deal through the travel agent, took my boards and surfed Lohi's everyday, ranging from 3 ft up to 8ft the whole 2 weeks I was there- mechanical as..........
Paid the hotel $9 a day for the surf boat to take me to the other breaks (didn't need to be booked with a surf tour company back then, cheaper), Cokes, Jails, Chickens, Sultans.
All great waves, had a blast, but if I went again (and hopefully I do), I'll surf Lohi's most of the time! The gem is right there on your doorstep, sure it's not as long as some, but it's sooo much fun, and empties out after the boats have left for some of the other breaks, leaving it to you and more time surfing! You can walk straight to the break from your bungalow, come in for chow, paddle back out, repeat and repeat again.
No SUP's back then, but those dhoni's are pretty big, more than enough room for SUP's, and to be honest some of those islands in the north atoll have other waves wrapping round them you'll be able to paddle to if the other waves are rammed, (the surfers won't be able to make it cos of the current).
