Can anyone suggest places to stand up paddle board on the Central Coast NSW, Ideally with places to stop to have a nice swim and lay on some nice sand?

Umina is sup friendly and good safe place for the kids. Also Terrigal and Toowoon bay at The Entrance. All the beaches have surf and plenty of surfers and will be very busy this time of year. Brisbane Waters and Tuggerah lakes for flatwater cruising.

Thanks for that..as I'm not familiar to these areas, are you able to tell me where the best place is to launch? Not keen to sup in the surf yet, but would like to be able to stop somewhere for a swim, whilst paddleboarding?

In Brisbane Waters Lions park at WoyWoy there is a boat ramp and playground and bbq area but not much beach though. Lintern st, Davistown is good with plenty of grass areas under trees for shade and small beach either side of the bost ramp. Best at high tide for swimming in the shallows for little kids, jump off the wharf and paddle up the channel. Unfortunately not much parking as all the boaties get there early. Ettalong beach just inside the entrance to Brisbane Water is the best place with plenty of beach and safe swimming, paddle to your hearts content and walk along the beach to Umina. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. If you are up at The Entrance there is a channel with plenty of beach east of the bridge but can be dangerous for kids when tide is running out of the channel. Enjoy

Terrigal - the Haven might be what you are after.
No surf and easy access plus some nice sand and safe swimming.
Best at low tide but always a nice family friendly spot.
