As the T shirt says "blame Laird". And Dave as well. First time on SUP was original 12ft Laird. Paddled off beach turned and caught first SUP wave. Still have an 11ft Laird just holding together but still surfs nice. Shooting the pier on a wave that size would require larger than normal gonads in my opinion.
