Just thought I'd post up details of a rapidly growing event on Sunday the 8th of Sept in Sydney.

JPP and WindsurfnSnow are hosting a large scale SUP day at the lake incorporating demos, lessons, inter SUP club time trial challenge, and a inflatable SUP X event (based on Dogman's format from Mornington, EPIC!).

The goal is to get at least 50 paddlers doing the TT and with last weeks numbers at 30 I think we'll do OK.

If demoing is you thing then come see a shed load of 2014 gear from Fanatic, JP, Naish and last but not least Starboard. 3 trailer loads plus of new kit will be there so come and get in to it.

For the long board racer guys, this is what will be there. If there's anything in particular paddlers want to use for the TT, best to get your requests in ASAP to the shop on 9971 0999.

Fanatic Falcon 14' x 24.75", Falcon 14 x 27.25", Falcon 12'6" x 24.75", Falcon 12'6" x 27.25", Naish Glide 14 GX, Javelin 12'6" x 28", Naish Javelin LE 14' x 23", Naish Javelin LE 12'6" x 24", JP Race All Water 14' x 26.5", JP All Water 12'6" x 30", JP All Water 14' x 30", JP Sportster 14' x 28", JP Sportster 12'6" x 29", Starboard Sprint 14' x 24", Ace 14' x 23.5", Ace 14' x 25", All Star 14' x 25", All Star 12'6" x 25", All Star 12'6" x 27.5". This is all I could remember off the top of my head.

Great opportunity to demo some boards from all of the major brands and support a good cause at the same time The time trial will be fun with 50 people starting off at various intervals but based on the Mornington Peninsula SUP X event , this will be the highlight. We'll just have to make sure that "Baby Cakes" Green actually goes around the buoys this time.

Doggie did say anything goes but I didn't realise he was talking about the SUP X race.

Just hang your leg out and wave it around the buoy that works..

Obviously the Central Coast Club are taking this event very seriously. One of their members (nearly 50, is a fireman and is associated with BIC) is travelling down to Sydney tomorow to go over the course. I wasn't smart enough to give him the wrong directions. He must think he'll be off first. Unfortunately Mr G_ _ _ _ _ s you're a gun so you'll be off 7 minutes.

Don't forget to go on line and register. It makes the organisation so much easier. Head to the (JPP) Jamieson Park Paddle face book page. I know there's a crew heading down from the Central Coast. Anyone from the South Side?

The demo race combo is a first, however, there is a time trial here every Sunday with up to 30 people paddling. JPP is a demo centre so you can try boards from all of the major brands. A really good opportunity to try the various boards available and purchase the right one and then get to improve with people of similar ability.

Perfect time Larko. Staggered handicapped started means everyone paddles their own time trial without the big hitters on the same start line Should be fun.

No excuses Larko. We see you sneak in each Sunday. Just get there a bit earlier.

Big thanks to WSS and JPP for today. My first one and really enjoyed it, well sort of
Was great to see how the elite girls and guys do it. Some of the paddlers that went past were like freight trains, really makes you aware of how fit and how skilled Aussie paddlers are!!
Great camaraderie and vibe on the water and lots of encouragement to newbies. Will be back.
