Just got back from the craziest paddle I've ever done on the 12.6. Paddled into a 20knt headwind and 1-2ft waves from Cadbury to Bridgewater - could barely lift my arms to paddle after the 45ish minute thrashing !! THEN I got to turn around !!!15 mins back to the boatramp at Austins Ferry !! OMFG - I have never been that fast on a board in my life - the 12.6 NSP must be the fastest downwind 12.6 in the world (lacey) Seriously good fun, but seriously challenging good fun.
i've got no idea which is the fastest dw 12'6. whichever pro wins on race day would be my guess
i know one thing, yesterday was the easiest, fastest and most fun run i've done on the bullet 17'4 for a long while . stick your 12'6 s up ya arse when its like that
I'll be sure to let you know when I get mine on the water.
And - we so have to have a bridge to bridge race I reckon - Bridgey to Tasman or vice versa with the wind - It would only take an hour and a half I reckon. Or a Bridgey to Bowen - half hour at best.
