I'm currently in my second year at university studing Product Design and my current project is about paddle boarding :)

I am just after some user feedback and reviews - anything informative will be very useful!

We've been asked to think of ways to improve the fin stiffness of an inflatable paddle board and if anyone who has surfed using both inflatable and hardboard SUP can help?!

My main question is when surfing how important is fin stiffness? and do you notice the different between an inflatable and hard board fin system? Also what do people think of removable fins?

Any info would be appreciated and thankyou in advance for your time.

Check out the bit in this vid (about the 34 sec mark) with the small section of an inflatable board with a normal type fin box fited.. I reckon that might be the way to go.

Chloe,Here is a Quick Release I use on a special locking concept Sup Race Fins I produce. Mahalo, Larry

Heyy, thank you both. As its a design course I will be attempting to design a new system so am ideally looking for user feedback but these have both helped :)

yes, it is the way to go ... we also make inflatable SUP with the proper fin box
