Last Sunday Anne and I got asked to assist as volunteers at a sports day for disabled folk at Raglan organised by the Halberg Foundation. There was surfing out at the beach and waka ama and SUP on the harbour.We got to paddle around the harbour on the big Red Air SUP. There were folk with physical, intellectual and visual impairments. Makes you realise how minor your own problems are. The visually impaired crew were a hoot and got the big SUP moving along pretty well - I was shattered after 4 hours of paddling that barge!!
