Gold Coast Paddle group?

Hey guys, Im visiting the GC area and was looking to take the new board out for a paddle with some crew if there any groups about?

We train Tuesday Thursday and Saturday mornings start at 5am meeting at 8 Thrower Drive Currumbin on the water 5:15
Or Tuesday and Thursday afternoon starting at 4:30 all good sessions and a good work out at the same time.

what lighting do you use?

Kind of have a range of different lights but nothing seems to last forever usally we just buy some cheap lights and if they die then just buy another one.

do use lights to be seen or see where you are going? no way I could see **** at that time of morning atm

Rawz,
Angie and PJ will see you right up there.. Currumbin is a great spot too.
As for lights, I use a couple of clip on rear cycle lights, just small ones, then I tape em up round the joints and so far they're doing well, even after a few dunkings..
The trick is to wear em on your cap, that way if you do go in, they're only very briefly underwater...
Be warned though, the GC training crew are a bit quick :-)

Yeah agree , it's been really black nights lately with no moon. Have a look at these.

What about those caps and beanies they sell at buntings with built in LED, sS.had one years ago was pretty good.
