I seem to battle with my slowmo's in imovie from gopro footage. I record in higher framerates 60/120 which is supposed to smoothen out the slowmo - but I'm finding the footage quite jarry/jerky even at 50% slowmo which should equate to 30fps (my imoive output) if filmed in 60fps.

I've tried to read up about this online but get conflicting advice - some say imovie cannot handle more than 30fps so it just chucks out the excess frames which means you have no benefit from filming at higher framerates (this sounds about right as my slowmo looks crap) and then there are others that suggest exporting via Quicktime and setting framerate at 60fps - done that but get same crap result....

Help someone please?????

I'm using imovie 11 vers 9.0.4

Think I just found the reply to my own question.....right here:

Problem is it adds a fair bit of complication to the editing process....but it can be done.
