Hi All - Just wondering what everyone uses for gopro mounts and any tips. Won't have a kookhat or helmet. Likely either nose, wrist or paddle mounted.

Here's a few options from a recent vid that I just did.. Even though I'm testing out an efoiling set up you'll get the idea on how it would work on a sup board..

I often use a helmet mount on a bicycle helmet and it works well because you can look around and change the view.. Next in my vid is a paddle mount and that also works well because you can move it around also.. Just make sure you edit out the paddle stroking so you don't make people feel sick watching it.. Last in my vid is a back pack mount.. Even though it's a constant view it works well.. Mounts on the nose of the board quickly become boring in my opinion and they also give a very distorted view.. Chest mounts are also not a favorite because of the movement when padding..

I've captured my best footage on the nose and on a kook hat. I've never had any luck whatsoever with the paddle mount - total nausea. The only upside to using the paddle mount was helping me realize I use the paddle too much so I've cut way back on that but it's still too much movement to be enjoyable footage. The footage from the nose is super instructional - helps you see all the ways your form is off whether it's your foot work, how you're distributing weight, etc.

I have the funny foam enclosure and mouth mount thing you bite, love it for videos tandem surfing with kids, but never tried it in real surf, curious whether you need a little leash or if you just go searching for it after wipe out, and whether it would pull your tooth out or something

The mouth mount works well and I have a lanyard on mine so when it's not in my mouth it hangs around my neck.. Having a float on it also helps..

You just need to edit out the sound so you don't sound like Darth Vader..

Haha yeah my vids with mouth Mount are me giving kids instructions in Darth Vader voice, best part
