Great bit of kit and luckily the hero 4 works with the karma too, saved me another $500. They don't say much on the site though regarding range and flight time. I'd like to get those answers first.

Have a look at the tech specifications tab on the site, flight time is approx 20mins, up to a distance of a 1000 mtrs, battery recharge is about an hour, flight attitude 14,500 feet, speed 35 mps, wind resistance 22mph.

I don't believe that it is fitted with 'follow me' soft wear

Another option could be the DJI Mavic due to be released this coming weekend, dosen't have the bonus of the removable stabilizer and Karma grip handle though

Try the Yi2 for a cheaper and effectively better solution. It still needs a case but in reality the GoPro also will need a case for the rough treatment handed out surfing.

This new stabi arm it has seems like it would work for SUP racing paddling maybe? Attach it to hydration pack or the likes.

Casey neistat got handed their proto to use and upload the first ever vid of the drone and stabiliser the minute GoPro did their launch.
The stabiliser is crazy good riding on his boosted board.

All looks really good on face value. Still very little specs on the Karma drone it would want to be very good to shoot the DJI Phantom 4 out of the sky. GoPro have done what all the other copiers have done to them for years and only supplied part of the specs so you cant do a true comparison.

I like it and hope it's good.
