So I'm not to flash with computers, and I have a go pro which I can work fine but when it comes to loading it onto the computer and editing etc, it all goes to sh---t. What is the easiest simplest made for dummies thing to use with instructions galore for putting together a little movie clip. I've got movie maker but every time I try to use it something different happens and I get totally lost in it all, mainly because I have no idea of what I'm doing. Is there a solution, and please don't say movie maker is the easiest to use.

Davidjohn you are probably right, I have watched quite a few of your clips (hell I even made it into one of them) and I like what you do, however I only today tried my first real video edit using GoPro Studio and was pleasantly surprised by its simplicity.

I just watched a couple of youtube videos and had a go, hey presto its uploading to youtube as we speak, (I tried Vimeo but it exceeded my weekly limit for a free account as it just went over 500mb or what ever it was)
I realise I probably made it too long at over 4 minutes but I just went with what I threw together first up.

I am sure iMovie is similar in ease of use and probably has more features however for now for me for a first up attempt GoPro Studio did the job well.

I've got a couple of Nikon cameras, that come with a free Nikon NX2 or something thing.
I was just using it to catalougue / organise photos, but it has a very easily usable video editing thing .

Get the kids to do it

nah... I'm for iMovie too ..but my daughter (13) showed me how to use it .
it really is amazing what you can do with it .

Seems there are copyright issues with my soundtrack on youtube (even though I bought the album through iTunes) so I'm back to Vimeo with a different format.

I still have a lot to learn but was happy enough with my experience with GoPro Studio so far.
I ended up exporting it from Go Pro Studio in a mobile friendly format which reduced the quality heaps but as far as editing goes I knew absolutely nothing this morning yet managed to throw a few clips together, put a title and sound track on it and even chucked in a tiny slo-mo bit just to try it.

Awesome vid..

If you are using a Gopro Hero5 or Sessions 5 then you can TAG/Highlight the special bits of your video while filming, either by pushing the highlight button or by voice command, actually "Oh S**T" even works in Australia.

Once you upload to the Gopro Capture app on your computer and use Quik, it will automatically make you a movie using the highlighted bits. Add some copyright free music from the app and even modify the clip if you want and its good to go in a few minutes.

Gopro have made it simple for those that don't really want to muck around editing, personally I enjoy the editing part and luv FCP for its editing power.

I use i movie 9.09 coz i got a mac.......but hate it really.
Loved Power Director 13......you get a months free trial
I avoid go pro studio........just put micro sd from go pro into pc.......and then into whatever video edit program you using.
Messing around with two cameras this morning.....

Hit Film 4 is free and its pretty good and its pretty easy. I went back from a Mac about 12 months ago and struggled to find anything on the market that was as simple and as intuitive. This is what I settled on and like I said pretty bloody good.

the good thing about a mac is it seems to put a decent effort into the video editing process......is the reason why i bought a second hand mac really.......then someone stole my other pc.......so marooned with mac :)
