Gero winter classic on this weekend shaping up nicely all be it a little chil e with stiff offshore winds forecast for both days with a fading 2.5 mt swell sounds like they only took 8 entrants in the sup division bit disappointing after last years 17 entrants If any of you Perth lads that I no are coming up you welcome to stay here good wife's away so it's just me and the groms party time ph Beno 0427746058

Hi Beno, myself and the boys are inbound this arvo, looks like the Gero Longboard Club was good enough to extend the entries this year to 16, Accomodation scarce in Gero this weekend we managed to get in at the Wintersun will make the after Party walk home easy.

Ben there are 17 paid entrants this year.. So the same as last year. We did not extend the entrants this is the number we thought we could accommodate. See you tomorrow. My PC is saying we are 6 degrees now which is very cold for here,

Hi Beno,
I'm coming up today with my grom. We're booked in at the Wintersun but I've got your number so might give you a ring and drop in on the way through for a chat. We're leaving Perth around lunchtime and just gonna cruise up.
Cheers, Crawf.
P.S. Glad to see your in the 8ft division, I reckon you should go in a few 9ft ones as well so your nice and buggered for the SUP.

No photos because their were no waves. Brett Mason from Yallingup took out the final local Radman threw everything he had at it in the final even going for some barrels in the windswept 1 foot conditions to come in second. The high performance SUPWA surf team went in convoy and set up Base Camp at the Wintersun Motel / 70's Theme Park. The team was rocked by the early upset eliminations of Crawford Olney and Joe Fry. However, the Team showed its depth and class with Roger Goodwin making the semis and Sir Wesley Stanfield III blasting his way through the final only to be given a controvesial 4th spot which clearly should of been a third but was targeted by judges due too youthful good looks something the crusty old judges just couldn't deal with. Great weekend fun comp and we will be back next year.

Good to hear guys had good time Radman more crew would have gone but we were all told only 8 spots and they were all full early ,so we went to wedge and had our own comp with my local knowledge I was able to take out over 40 and the open hard fought win over the other guys who must have gone to the wrong spot
Any way enough of the bull sh-t maybe supwa might make it one of there comps for next year that's Gero a few of us have done the very quick judging coarse a now no what a cut back should look like on a sup to score points .

TIP the rail on the other side should leave the water
Looking good up the coast tomorrow later

It is a shame Rog wasn't there, I think this little hint from Stimo would really help his surfing!

Great weekend had by all good to see you lads up here every one shame about the swell Got signed up for mandurah I am. Coming to this one Where's the party Could there be problem with pink and orange rashes being mixed up specially with fading eye sight looking into the sun I found it hard to discriminate when every one starts buzzing around on take off as it was approx 250 away from judge to line up why not use black instead of pink then you wouldn't get harassed for being universal
