I need more SUPing badly, I've hardly gone out at all in the past month - it's been so windy and rainy here for what feels like weeks. I looked at the weather today for the week ahead and unfortunately it's going to be more of the same.

I think the forum just goes through waves of intensity and then takes it a gear down for a while. It sure was funny when those naughty shortboarders infiltrated it a couple of weeks back. Give it another week and I'm sure the fourm will be filled with photos of all the fun at Merimbula. By the sounds of it many regulars on this forum are down there meeting each other in person for the first time.

Post some pictures macca of the boards/paddles that you want to get.

I just found a few euro SUPing videos at: www.nalu-surf.com (I believe some people from there are also attending mambo)

In Melbourne the best surf weather is in winter and the warmer weather is nice and windy for kiteboarding.

My SUP got a big workout over the last few months but now it's kiting season and that's not such a bad thing.

We can still get some nice hot no wind days or early morning sessions. I'll be aiming for the triple where I SUP surf in the morning, paraglide in the early afternoon then kite in the late afternoon. Maybe a quad if the missus gets home early from work.

Ding, a light bulb just went off in my head, if I wake up early next week I can easily go for a paddle before work. I will give that a go as I know when I've been on my way to work recently commuting on the train, squashed next to that horrid Russian guy who eats last nights goolash for breakfast, I always look at the flags at Caulfield racecourse in the morning and they've often been limp.

A couple of weeks ago I actually saw the flags like that with the sun out and felt sick the minute I got into work, so I went back home, looked at my board and felt much better, I headed out to Flinders for one of the best surfs I've had in ages.

Take note fellas!

Those Youtube videos of N European SUPping show the usual crystal clear water and blue skies we have in summer!
It's now winter.
You can guess how much I'm getting out.
Only just thawed out from session when I posted with pics of us in Dorset in October.

Scraped 2mm of frost (that's frozen dew for you lot in your 2mm winter suits!!!) off the ScoobyVelle before coming into work.

Think we are into "board away, MTB out" time.

Keep the pics and vids coming, I may yet make it through to spring

I think we're all watching lots of videos in the northern hemisphere but winter=surf in New England...of course it also =snow but what the hell we can't have it all. Mid 40's F both air and water this weekend with some really nice swell. Head high + with some real bombs thrown in...one set almost killed me...

Hey Oliver.. Fred and his girlfriend Aurelie were there.. I got to know them well and became good friends.. What a nice couple.. They said they're coming back next year for sure.

Here's a few of my pics of them.
