Managed to knock this up over the weekend. 6.5" x 20" and 90 sq.in. My second paddle.

Still needs to be cleaned up and finished properly

What are your thoughts?

Rear skin moulded using crude mould. Used 10mm PVC foam for core and shaped it.
Vacuum infused front face.

Flat water paddle.

Long drive, by the looks of it. You should shape for Starboard...

It will be interesting to see if the "v-drive" concept works as well with a longer narrower paddle since it is a design that works principally at the catch I think. Interesting work.

Area 10, the bottom of the paddle is very similar to any other in that it's a flattish blade, but it thickens very quickly (like 1mm in 10mm) to produce those 'V' ridges which are 10mm thick. The core in the centre of the paddle is almost non existent half way up the blade and then tapers to around 8mm thick.

This one is way overbuilt, but I've been asked to produce an 80 sq.in version to trial. It will be somewhat less agricultural...
