SupChickadee said..Hey Rick
Looking awesome for 75 years young and its always inspiring to see "mature" supstars out carving it up

Now for a potentially silly question - how would you compare the ghost to the creek sups?
And i don't think i missed the thread - have you decided what sizes you will bring out?
Happy Supping Supstar

Hi Chickadee, thank you my friend!!
Being older had a big role in this design.....
My plan is
always to surf better today, than yesterday, so this board was designed to make that possible.
Not and "Old Man" board.... quite the opposite
It was designed to make ripping easier, so I am not fighting against the board.
Compare to the Creek:
It has nothing in common with the Creek.... well, until Bert put the rounded diamond tail on it

I have always liked the performance of a rounded diamond tail, so I accepted the tail, even though I knew it would identify it with the Creek. and Hey... the tail works!
Ghost was designed from the ground up to be a very unique board, with very specific goals.... and it continues to blow me a way every session!
I have not surfed the Creek much these days because the Channels track so well that they are difficult for me when a wave hits a soft spot... I need a board to "follow" me better... like in a cutback, when the wave goes soft in the middle of the turn, the Ghost will stay powered up and complete the turn with speed.
Sizes fall roughly between the Flow and SP25 as they size up and down.
Something like this... but the final numbers will be run after I approve my next Ghost (it has a few tweaks)
7'11 x 28.3 at 99 liters
up to (so far)
9'6 x 34 at at 171 liters
Bigger will be available when they are being made for container delivery.
But as always... you will be able to order any length and it will be adjusted accordingly.
