Ok who is game enough to pick the top 3?

i will have a shot
Jake
Trav
Beau

in that order, with Will in 4th and James in 5th if Matt Nottage is there he could take one of the 4th or 5th spots.

Paddled with Jake a heap and he is flying at the moment so would be hard to pick anyone over him, it could come down to a sprint up the beach is my call in which Jake will win.

What time are the first Paddlers expected at the Sorrento Surf Club (approx )

as with a STRONG WIND WARNING of 20 - 30 knots forecast this could be worth checking out

Looks like some of the best conditions for the Doctor for quite a while which is the way it should be !

He was the guy who got 2nd to James the other day over in Perth but from all accounts he would have won but missed a Buoy and had to go back.

Thanks paul. I did read about that result. And that 'will' missed a buoy.

Just a matter of time . Also heard that marcus is flying on that big custom dc he came over here for

Travis will be hard to beat, but I hope the snake wins, he's had a **** year with injury and what not.go muss.

It's going to be tough as the start is well before the breeze kicks in for the first wave which is SUP's. Could be decided by who can establish a lead early before the breeze comes

Update My informant tells me About 25 in trav and jake in lead with trav putting on a move and linking some good runs

Is that Kenzie Carlstrom, Ange? She is a BrisSUP Club member after doing a stint in Brisbane early this year. You are right she is super fit and paddles well.

Close finish.
17 seconds between matt and travis and then beau 32 seconds behind trav. Top 3 within 50 seconds of eachother. That is close racing like always. Amazes me how after such long ocean races with bumps paddlers are taking their own line yet often still finish with winner being decided by either a last wave into the beach or an actual beach sprint to the line.

Awesome stuff. Big win for matty. I reckon he will get the double this year and win the KoTC.
