First, cheer up!!!

Any "dry" ding (where water did not enter the foam), is totally benign, nothing to worry about.

It will be easily repairable by a pro, or by yourself if you want to invest some time in learning to repair boards (and buy good epoxy resin)

Never a good feeling but as Colas said, it is a dry ding. Split ya rail, so best see a repair shack if this is your first self repair attempt.

There is a chance water has entered the board previously and eroded the foam. Suggest you weigh it and put it in the sun and drain it. This what happened to my alwave. Good luck

If you've never repaired a board before, this is not the ding to start developing your skills. Unless you are very skilled with your hands you'll end up with a right mess, and a lot of time and frustration. Take it to a professional repairer and open your wallet. If they are good, by the time they've finished you'll probably not be able to tell that anything happened.

Agree with Area10. Get a professional repairer to fix it. It could even cost you more doing it yourself by buying more than enough epoxy, sandpaper, tape etc. Especially if you have to start doing it over again!
If it was on the flat section of the board I would say yeah, do it yourself. That's how I learnt.
Like Colas said. If you do it yourself then get good epoxy from a marine repair place. I have used Araldite & other epoxies from hardware stores & it can be a pain. Especially if it doesnt harden like glass. It clogs sandpaper!
Once fixed your crying will be forgotten. Lol.
