A great way to cross train for SUP Distance Paddling. The next generation of OC1 Paddling Canoe.

The Wainui: Big Water

Maui Kjeldsen designed the Wainui to serve as an all-around canoe for the average sized paddler, to be fast on flat water while excelling in sizable ocean conditions.

The Wainui glides in flat water and excels in rough, sloppy condition as well. Seat and ama configurations create a canoe that gives the paddler amazing control.

Specifications:
20 - 10" in length
15" wide
The ama rides closer to the pivot point for the canoe in comparisons to other OC1 models for extra performance in rough water.
Very efficient footwell drainage system.
Double Bungee storage front & back.
Bungee with paddle clip at the back for extra paddle.

The Hiko: Lightning

The Hiko is Kia Kaha Canoes & Paddles newest design. Maui accomplished all of our goals with the design of our new Hiko OC-1 Canoe. Like every canoe manufacturer, Maui was trying to create a canoe that excels in all conditions. With the Hiko, Maui believes he did it. Maui sharpened up the entry, took out a little tail rocker and moved the cockpit forward, resulting in a canoe with effortless acceleration on the bumps and great glide in the flat. Slight changes to the tail of the ama were also made to improve the release.

Specifications:
21" in Length
15. 1/2" in wide at seat
Very efficient footwell drainage system.
Double Bungee storage front & back.
Bungee with paddle clip at the back for extra paddle.

He does look a bit like me when I'm in the bath. Does anybody else take a paddle into the tub?
