OK, I accept that it is not as good as DJ's, but it is from the same session yesterday morning. They were the best conditions I have seen at that spot - but it was pretty crowded...

Well, I bought the paddle and the conditions at the Prom (King Kong Island) and Zappers have been great. Coincidence?

The biggest thing I notice is that is that the paddle stroke seems to do more work. There was a lot of turbulence with the old paddle - you could hear it as you pulled it through the water. Not so with the new paddle. It just feels more efficient and effective. (But maybe that's just because I want to justify the cost in my own mind )

I bought it mainly because I wanted a three-piece paddle for my Maldives trip. So I had to decide whether to get a very good paddle or reportedly the best paddle.

Yes - guilty as charged - but I got off when I saw she was getting past the close-out section. With more than 10 sups out there it was a bit of a free-for-all. Lots of drop-ins - lots of waves missed. But all in good spirits. (The "party wave" was called early - I think we had five on it. There were a few party waves.)

King Kong Island is just our nick-name for the Prom - because the weather and conditions can defy logic and forecasts. It was just Norman Bay on this occasion. Two of the three sessions:

Thanks. Googling it brought up Skull Rock and there's no way I could imagine people surfing out there (cause there's no surf and it's miles away and surrounded by bities.)
