These are some pics from Sat morning at my local. Swell had a bit of east in it which makes it super gnarly, with one section sucking out below sea level. If ya stuff the take off up it's on the rocks you go with this direction

To answer your question re the guy paddling - it's one of those places with 2 distict take off spots - with lots of crew waiting for the guys on the inside to crash and burn. So I don't think he was dropping in, just having a look. I got smashed so will never know
