Couldn't believe my luck, about 5 years ago on one of my trips South to Coolangatta...no one out at snappers, mid day winter howling onshore head high and crappy as f*#k grey and cold almost NZ styles...but hey no one out, lol paddled out on my 9"1 longboard purple flame and all its glory, caught a lumpy distorted moving bit of water that resembled a wave, kooking it down the line somewhere near rainbow, fist pumping all the way to shore, lol pick your time and don't even bother paddling out when it's perfect...

Oh the empty line up didn't last long....the hordes where waiting for a sucker to test the water. About year previously after waiting for over an hour for a gap top end of rainbow, small day but perfect, I just went faaaaarrrrk iiiiiit dropped in on the biggest dude on a long board, poo stance on my 6" fish going for broke cracking up all the way, the big dude looked like a solid Maori dude, but then so do I, I finally kicked out and went chur bro, Shaka back to him. Goldie and Sunny coast where I first learnt the meaning of party wave....got to love it

stay stoked!
