just thought a make a page for anyone that SUPS in the Cronulla area.

If you need crew to paddle with like me and don't have anyones numbers, or just post whatever SUP related stuff you like.

There is tonnes of us out there, hopefully we can all enjoy it together.

i dont have contacts for many people, thought as most people have smart phones now, it would be another option to seabreeze.

I think sharing the love is a great idea, albeit, Josh there only me and you so far

Ripple Riders refelcts on the Bay whereas this creates a wider community, is independant of any business interests, can bring together DWinders, open water paddles, surfing at a particular spot and Bay Surf etc..............so I like it

SUPanimal in your current non FB status I will text you anything exciting

Hi Josh,

There's a few clubs / shops / schools etc in the shire but the problem is it always becomes about making money and being better than the next set up.

all bull**** IMO so if I were you, just make some friends, put their mobiles in your phone and tick tack when it's on with the group of numbers to see who's in and who's not - works a treat for me.

I've a group in Wollongong for harbour and ocean runs, a group close to home at Stanny for surf and the Ripple Riders in The Bay - always someone keen at any location with a couple hours notice.

If you start a 'posse' on FB, beware those with agenda's - I've been there.

I luckily have no connection with shops, clubs anything anymore.

I started this so that others, Not just my 2 usual paddle buddies, could get together and go paddling.

Clubs are fine, but Im not overly keen to pay memberships in order to hangout.
Its not a club, shop or team.

just crew paddling.

see you out there

Sounds like a good idea josh, be a good way of getting more people into the DW'ers. Don't worry there's alway's going to be a grump against the idea, if you don't like it don't join it. simple.

its a hard taskt o txt, PM msg and write a post all in the space of an arvo seabreeze.

by making a FB page it hopefully reaches the majority of people, whether on the internet or mobile phone.

will do my best tho.

I like your passion Josh. Keep it up and do whatever it takes to bring SUPers together. I am one for the social paddle and NOT aligned with any club that has connections with a shop, wholesaler, etc. I am not on FB but I am sure we will catch up in the new year mate. See you at Iron cove on Australia Day - if not sooner.

Just look for the paddlers in The Bay early morning when the tide is lower than high, a little (or a lot) of swell is angling in and you notice fat, geriatric or abnoxious types on the water - that'll be us.....see ya' at Lane Cove if not before.

HaHa - yep, 12 & 14 foot Lairds are the boards of choice - oh, the fat teddy rides a Naish Nalu - Mr ShireSUP.

Although, of late, the OC1 is getting a guernsy of course.

My 17' Naish Glide goes OK too.

....we park right next to the BBQ's at Bonnie Vale as it's a requirement post session (pre session too for ShireSUP)...and it's closer to Gloria Jeans Coffee Sutherland or Engadine for those needing a kick start.

Josh, it's ON a hell of a lot more than people assume.

The eastern suburbs covers a very big area and I don't live anywhere near the Oxford Street region "not that there is anything wrong with that". We've got all sorts of types over here that would blow the minds off you 'Shire boys'. Ever been to the Taxi club ?
