It had to happen eventually and I am happy to announce the first attempt of starting a SUP club in Bunbury Western Australia. We are going to run a paddle loop style event modelled on the successful series run by SUPWA in Perth on Sunday Dec 8th from the Rowing Club car park on the banks of the Lechenault Inlet. Our first goals is to get enough interest to host more local events and paddling/training sessions and to get enough paid up memebers to become an official pod of SUPWA.

Elemental SUP (www.elementalsup.com.au) will be there with their trailer to enable anyone who wants to have a taste of the great sport to have a go and hopefully coax some existing paddlers over from more traditional styles.

Great work Ulesys, I'm sure you will get plenty of interest !! I reckon a lot of SUPWA crew would come down for an event in your beautiful part of the world - we've got the King of the Cut on that day ( 8th ) so maybe next time. Good luck.

Sounds like a good idea to form a Bunbury Pod.
Good benifits by joining SUPWA and getting the support you need for your Pod.
Plus the Margaret River Pod will have another Pod close by to join.
We are more surf orientated but there are a few people down here that would be interested in getting together.
We could have a BBQ and paddle up the river over Christmas?
