Hi all, as most have you have been following the recent downwind action in brisvegas, you would have heard we had 40 go out last Saturday. great conditions, and a great group of guys and girls. If you are wondering what Brisbane offers in the bay...check this out. And thanks to all the crew form the Goldy, Brisbane, and Sunny Coast who came up or down to Brisbane. Its great to paddle with all of you. (I stole my wifes 14x27 Ace for this run)

Big sea turtle mate. See heaps of them when its windy, I think they just pop up higher for a breath of air....or to admire the SUP action.

Even the turtle at the end ducked as quick as he could when he saw it was a 2012 27 Ace haha.

Looking forward to the next Bay run, it was BULK FUN the small Bay swell are quite mechanical "so many bumps to Glide on" and that was rated around a 7. Hope next time I come up it's a 9+ it'll be like taking candy from a baby. I recon next time BrisSUP will smash the 40 SUP mark and get over 50+ SUP Downwind paddlers.
You got some fun Bumps on the vid Nick at the 2 min, 3:30 min and 4:25 min mark.
Hope I'm not working next time the winds SE at 25+ knots. I've told a few people about this little Morton Bay Jem.

Thanks for the comments guys, was an awesome day, and as I said, just so great to be out in our backyard with so many great paddlers, who show us how it's really done every time we go out with them, and more importantly always freely giving us Brisbane guys and girls tips and tricks to help us paddle better.
I bought the ace for my wife to learn to downwind on, as it is the Cadillac of downwinders, not the quickest at 27 wide, but she gets her steam up and just punches along. Love it.
we will have 50 plus on the next big day, there was a group of around 15 guys and girls doing little runs on the day from wellington point to manly, and they are getting better every time, we have a downwind nursery Program.
Any time it's blowing, you guys are always welcome, and we will do everything e can to make the day the best it can be.
Right got to go order that 60 seater coach.....
