Hey crew , would like some advice on the best way to repair my Smik . It was wet and the foam has sunken about 10mm . Dry now .

Should I try and fill the depression with some sort of foam? I have dynal cloth and epoxy laminating resin , maybe use microballoon epoxy mix to fill then just laminate over ?
Same thing happened to my Sunova speed except worse haven't bothered fixing it yet . I miss my hipster twin more than my speed. Maybe I'm heavy footed, I am 95kg .

Do you knee paddle? this destroys boards fast...

I don't feel it is a good idea to fill it with microspheres on such a length, as it will be stiffer than the surroundings and may create weak points. Or perhaps with a very gradual slope at the edges?

Try to use a filler that stays as flexible as the foam blank: gorilla glue mixed with a bit of water, foaming epoxy resins like the Sicomin one...

You could try PVC composite foam, it's the foam that was in the original composite, covering the EPS. You can buy it in the UK from a few suppliers, for model making etc. So assume it's available in Aus? It comes in various thicknesses from 3 to 25 mm. I'd probably use 3mm in several layers, to adjust for depth on different areas, so the top side os level with the rest of the board and sandwich inbetween layers of glass, probably 4oz, so it isn't too stiff as Colas said. You could use stiff plastic film over the top layer of glass and bags of sand to compress, as a cheaper alternative to vacuum bagging as Bert at Sunova suggests?
