Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has used a bic board before? I've got a Naish Nalu GT 10'6 but am looking for a cheaper wave board. I've had no problems with the Naish except it's got the turning circle of the QE2!!! Maybe it's operator error . The bic wave boards are fairly cheap atm but I've seen no reviews on here and they are never in the buy/sell section. Anybody?

My bic ran out of ink and I lost it

Try putting your weight on the tail of the Nalu - it will turn faster

I've seen some of those Bic wave pro C-TEC boards advertised for less than half their RRP. I reckon for the price it would be worth having a crack at one.

Try a smaller center fin in the Nalu - similar size to the sides (5.5 or 6 inch). Works wonders!

On the Nalu, try to remove the side fins and move the fin totally forward in the box.

And of course, go to the tail to turn: on a longboard shape, you need to move around a lot to pilot it.

I never rode the Bics, but saw some on the beach. Seems quite nice boards, user friendly and a good glide.

Unlike the other boards in the range the C-Tec are made in China so I'm unsure of the quality. Maybe you could find a shorter used Naish or runout model at a good price. BTW we rarely head to the surf without taking a Nalu with us so I wouldn't suggest removing it from your quiver.

Don't worry I have zero plans to get rid of my Nalu. It's a great board

I rented an 8'10" in California last month. I'm 6'2", 208 lbs.

It was a little on the unstable side for me but I really warmed up to it over the week. I loved surfing it.

They seem kind of pricey new ($1600-1700 US) when I can get a custom for over $300 less but I'd jump on one if I saw a sale or used one.

I can't find much discussion on these or any used ones for sale.
