Possibly canoe riders trying to sabotage Sup. I had a conversation in the UK back in 1970 with a canoe club guy and he thought surfing would never take off and that canoeing was the way of the future. (Mutley sniggers). Looks like they are still trying.

I like how it's colour-coded so you know which end to hold.

Frankly, I find it well done.

IF you want a double paddle, it seems quite well designed. I guess a design enhancement could be to have the to blade removable, so you could keep it in the net at the front of race/trekking boards to use in case of problems (heavy storm winds, unexpected chop, cramps, ...)

Of course its use for surfing is laughable (and we all laugh :-) ). But for whitewater, fishing, ... it may make sense.

Now that you mention it ,I think the guy in the UK was a Kayaker and not a canoeist. It was a long time ago.

Dangerous in the surf, when you wipe out on a wave, you're supposed to hold onto the handle end of the paddle only, that way the blade won't come back at you and slice your face open.
As in~

If you have driven a lot of French cars you will notice they tend to do things differently than most other manufacturers and in my experience they do fail in several areas yet they also break new ground in others, I agree with Colas, it may well be useful in some aspects of SUP or maybe as some type of multi purpose paddle for multiple crafts but on the other hand you never want to plan to kneel and paddle on a SUP IMO, either stand or lay down is my motto, but as a rule these should not be targeted and sold for surfing though.

I believe "NUP-ing" is the next trend, this should work well for it.
