Nice quiver , the 8'2 you say is for slow point breaks and fattish waves , whats it about that board the makes it good for those conditions?I thought a bigger board would be the go for those!

Thanks

The 8'2" has got quite a flatish rocker which allows it plane quickly and maintain speed through fat sections. The fuller nose and wider tail create a straighter rail which makes it nice and drivey for big open face carves. I like the shorter length for the occasional snap or foam bounce.

Definitely the 8'5" - I could ride it in pretty much any conditions and it goes absolutely insane. It is a total pleasure to ride and just thinking about the sessions I've had on it gets me amped to go surfing again. It has allowed me to take my performance to the next level - IMO. Look out Goatman.

Cheers , im just trying to educate myself about surfboard design. So a staighter rail equals more drive and speed , coupled with a flatter rocker.Makes sense my old psh 10,6 was way faster than my current 9'2 ripper and it had a very flat rocker and straighter lines from nose to tail.

So you didn't get a complete setup?

I only count 5 boards

Oh, I see, you have boards not even listed here.

Great to see you, following your instincts and passion.

Yeah, we did a bit of a deal - the boards for some good contest results. Now I have to try and hold up my end of the bargain!

Yeah, it's a custom (all three of those Fiber Flex ones are). I told Simon all the dimensions I wanted and he designed it based on that - he tweaked it a bit (because he probably knows a bit more about shaping a board than me) and it has come out unreal. The specifications have been recorded and the board can be reproduced if anyone is interested - just ask for one like Casso's 8'5" (www.walkonwater.com.au/custom).

All the customs including the carbon railed Fiber Flex ones are glassed on the Goldy. They have really got the processed wired - the materials and quality are second to none.
