I took a crash over the falls on the weekend and landed on my paddle which broke. Almost a clean cut.. I've looked at the price of an OEM replacement shaft and its abt $250 which i find a bit steep.

What are others using for replacement shafts? Surely someone has found a source for cheap replacement shafts with same characteristics / quality as OEMs.

CST ( composite spars and tube in NSW)
Killwell fibretube in NZ

alternatively call Windrush in O'Conner and ask what Brett has in stock.

Bad fall ,your too heavy ...lol.

i would fix it with a insert , then buy another ...I use both my broken but fixed ones now ..

my last one got caught in the leg rope as I let my board go over the falls ,it held for a while then bang
ripped it in half but I fixed it . The other I ran over in my truck .duh.
