In February your best bet is to stay on the east coast nusa dua or Sanur, the trade winds should still be offshore ..
plenty of reefs to get out to to get a wave any fisherman with a boat will take you out for $5 or 5000 rup there is surf school in Sanur that organizes boats but you can also paddle out to the reef ... waves range from fun sup waves to heavy reefs lot of rights ..
the other side from uluawtu to Kuta reef is left reefs except airport rights .. the bukit peninsula is tough on a sup plenty of crowds but if you find a quiet spot it's well with a paddle .
The airport reefs are great get a boat from Kuta out to Kuta reef middles and airport lefts it's a huge reef and you can paddle it and find a wave it does get busy and can Handle plenty of swell ..
then you have the beaches from Kuta legian and seminyak all fun beachies plenty of waves super fun few crowds but always get a wave usually high tide the banks are best nothing bigger than 3 foot if bigger only a few places handle it and will be packed .. further up you have chunguu (sorry bout the spelling !!! ) chunguu is now super busy but lots of waves plenty of wankers with man buns and beards but if you look you can fine some epic waves in the area...
I take sups there usually 2 one for the beaches sunova flow 8,7and a reef point break board sunova acid 8'10 take spare paddle and fins and leggies as you will snap and loose them and it's hard to replace over there. Lastly be courteous and learn a few local words as the locals rip and if your doing the wrong thing you will get sent in or won't get a wave most of all have respect and have fun it's a rad place ????????
