Where can you buy them online. I as just looking for 30 mins and couldn't find them.

The joiner on my old paddle had holes drilled in the shaft where a metal pin went through .....it was good. But my new paddle has the squeeze type joiner that just uses squeeze pressure to hold the shaft. I find that the handle shaft moves out of alignment with the blade shaft when paddling hard. Ive tightened screws on the plastic adjuster but it doesn't make much difference. My next move is to smear a coating of polyurethane black silicon goo over the handle shaft the give the plastic joiner a better grip.

Anyway point is couldn't find the plastic adjustable joiners anywhere online.

I used some thread tape for a temporary fix.

Mine slips a bit too. It gives me something to do waiting for waves.

All the clamp type fittings do this eventually with hard use. It's bloody annoying! You can usually stop it by wrapping electrical tape round the part of the handle shaft where the clamp will be. But then it will be difficult to adjust and take apart to clean. It's why I stopped using clamp type adjustables and went back to pin ones.

Only way do get around this Fishman is to use a solid paddle .

I know this seems a silly statement to some but I have not yet heard of any adjustable paddles that don't eventually wear and have some issues.

Though there may be some out there.

There are plenty of reasonably priced and reasonable quality fixed paddles around.

Although I have now moved to a solid paddle I had the same problem, as I think just about everyone has at some point, and easily fixed it by placing a thin shim of plastic cut from an old folder behind the clamp. never had another worry.

I've heard that the problem is the screw not being tight.. and if they're tight and it's still slipping it's a matter of undoing the screws totally and filing a smidge off the end (only half to one thread is needed) because the problem is the screws bottoming out before its tight enough.

That's a thought.

I finally found one online. After searching several different descriptions and names ....they appear to be called " double pin lockers for sup".

I tried a very thin film of polyurethane...silka brand in squeeze tube. It held well for 30 mins but then the paddle got out of alignment after a paddle drag on a wave. I'll try a thicker coating next. But the double pin lock system on my old paddle was good as gold couldn't fault it.

Now thinking about converting to the double pin system and drilling holes in my paddle.
