Awesome to see a mature Newcastle surfer taking the win. Gotta admire Glennos form turning around his paddle. He once told me this was passed on from Luke Egan - another nice Novocastrian - who got him into SUP.

Hey Dylan Henry, those little ECS boards do the trick! (Who's Dad taught me how to use a paddle canoeing; well before the days of SUP)

Thanks again Casso for the video.

Is it because of the man bun or just because it's a poor excuse of a man bun. My son is sporting one as well, similar age I think.

congrats to all that participated

Hi Casso,

I really like the organic look of your footage - a little softness goes a long way -And the grade looks good too.

The lensing is interesting too - i am guessing canon super35mm (apsc) on a fixed lense

The depth of field rendering into the focal plane looks great too If i had to guess i would say its shot wide open! you are doing a great job of pulling focus.

Nice work. Its got a nice consitent look (something I am working on but not achieving right now)

And nice turns from the talent

Hey thanks Reflex - compliments mean a lot coming from you.

I shoot low ISO on a big Sigma zoom (without zooming) and run the aperture wide open for increased depth. Manual focusing at that depth can be tricky, as you can probably see.

That is a great simple formula (although technical to shoot)

- make sure you stick with it As the core of your "look"

The lack of zoom / reframe is refreshing and quite easy on the eye / brain to watch.

Thats the funny thing about film production - often its the limitations or discipline towards simplicity in gear / framing that make them work.

Looking forward to your next production.
