How good was Dave White with a 12th overall?

If only he had been allowed to compete for his state with a performance like that. With greater numbers at a local chook raffle, Surfing Australia's decision to turn people away because of a nationality rule based on 1950's thinking will be hard to cover up. The smart thing to do would be to allow everyone to compete and make only those eligible qualify for the national team. I'm sure the series sponsors would be feeling somewhat underwhelmed by the turnout.

Pretty sure the turn out would have been bigger had it been on the east coast, seems like lots of crew opted out due to cost and distance, just as cheap to go to Hawaii and not much further unfortunately.

Yeah doesn't seem to be much around, there is a couple of small clips and a bit of info on the surfing australia fb page

but its all a bit hard to share, I know there was quite a few cameras and a drone around so hopefully something will be posted.

agree, saw a few clips on instagram and FB but be great to see a bit of a collage. see who's doing what these days.

from what i saw on clips seems sup comps finally got some good conditions. i know that wave cranks so glad it was working for the day.
