Next shipment arrived so I grabbed one and took out the 12'6" Race Board, 25 inch wide.

Very stable, more so than the prototype I rode at the BOP Race. Felt smooth through the water and I was pleased with the way the board rode waves as well as hitting the foam. It bounced over without me missing a stroke.

Will downwind tonight.

Funny watching big, and I mean BIG Luc Longley have a float on the 25incher. His normal board is 36inchs I think.
He didnt get wet, but it did give him a work out....

Few more plus the 14's arriving this week.

I hopped on our local dealer's 12'6 by 25 last weekend...yeah it's surprisingly stable. At 120kg ish and severely balance-challenged I managed to do a quick turn of the local bay beach (in gentle conditions) without embarrassment. Pretty impressive for a skinny board.

Kristi got her 12'6 x 25 Fanatic Falcon Carbon late Friday, took it out of the box and straight to the Sprint To The ZU race yesterday. With only 10 mins to shake the board down before the race she was a little concered how a board 2 inches narrower would perform.

Kristi ended up being the only junior girl to go out and only lost her feet once in 6km of severe chop and strong cross wind where 10 paddlers DNF and some paddlers were in the drink every couple minutes.

Her comments at the end of the race were it was all-time stable and super fast.

Stoked
