Hi guys just wanting to know what wetties people recommend for winter..warm but flexible to sup in. Ive tried a couple but sent them back. Got a O'Neill psyche 2x 6/4mm with built in hood..but found it too restrictive heavy and hard to put on..then got a mystic star 5/4mm was not bad but for price but didn't feel quite right for me,,,I'm now looking the hyperflex amp 3 4/3mm and the west lotus 4/3mm...both chest zip which I prefer and great price in nz
Can anyone give me feedback on those 2 suits please. Looking to spend under $350
Thanks

the water in Sydney not as cold as yours (20+ right now)

but i went down the path of a triathlon long john and if the wind is up then the oneill jacket

havnt had it in the surf yet but did use it the other day when it was a bit windy early morn and worked well, had sleaves undone and i didnt get too hot..

means no restriction around my arms at all.

The West Lotus is a great suit. I have one that is still in pretty good nick after 5 seasons.

I realise this is slightly off topic but Triple X Wetsuits in Ballina, N.S.W sell amazingly warm and extremely flexible wetsuits.

They are titanium lined and reflect your body heat. They are very high quality wetties and cheap!

Their service is excellent and the owner Don Munro is a great guy who will happily answer any queries anyone has about his product.

I just bought a 3mm mega-stretch steamer and I can honestly say it's the best wetsuit I have ever used.

The website is www.triple-x.com.au

Good luck!

The west loyus is the best I've had. It lasted 4 years. I've now got an O'niell ......It's cold and falling to bits 2 years later. My next suit will be the West.
