starboard ace 14 x 25

Hi im thinking about going for a ace but i weigh 102kgs would i be to heavy for this board any feed back from riders over 100 kgs with this board. and what year was the best ace made

I'm not exactly 100+ kg but I have a fair amount of experience with Starboard Aces and putting friends on these boards - I'd say you're pushing your luck with the 25" version. Probably right on the margin, but if you don't mind getting wet and feeling like you're constantly on the edge of balance, it will be a very quick board for you. On the other hand, if you opt for the 27", you will be perfectly stable and you can apply all your strength and stamina to paddling hard instead of balance checks.

Hi Dean, I am around the 100kg i own the 27" Ace and find it comfortable in most conditions, i also brought the 25" Ace to eventually use in flat water i can paddle the 25" in flat conditions and small wind chop with no problem but not sure how i would go in race conditions with all that water moving around from everybody at the start. and my wife won't give back the 25" Ace thats the main reason i stay on the 27"
