kite board sizes

Hey i was just wondering on kite board sizes im about 60-65 kgs skinny build 6ft(ish) tall, im looking at buy a second hand board thats 128x38, would this be a good size board or am i looking for somthing smaller or bigger? , thanks

Hi Josh,

I think you may have the wrong forum mate. Most boards on this forum are 3.0m +

But seeing as you are here, the 128 x 38 you are talking about is too small for you. You are obviously a beginner and probably young, tall and skinny. Look for a board around the 132-134cm x 40cm. It will make a big difference to your learning.

Smaller boards need to be ridden faster to have the same support as a larger/wider board at lower speed. Look for something with a soft to medium flex for choppy water. Being tall you will likely have a stance too narrow on the small board which will effect your fore/aft stability.
