Has anyone used one of these paddles, how do they compare to full carbon etc. They have a carbon shaft and handle with a composite blade,and are primarily for surf.

They are amazing. All 3 styles are the same Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic (CFRT®) but it is in the shaft where the paddles are different.

They are a great start out paddle and also a great paddle if you are looking for something with a lot more flex. I have tried all 3 and also the New "Toro" model as well.

I think the underlying facts with Kialoa and Quickblade paddles is that the reason for the them being the best is that they just do paddles and that's it. I use kialoa myself, but i also know a lot of people use quickblade and like those too.

I use mine every now and them.. It's a great paddle to let friends use so they don't damage your good carbon paddle if they fall on it or jam it in the rocks.

I think these paddle are perfect for people who paddle rivers and white water where you need to constantly push yourself away from rocks.. and even in shallow reefy areas where scraping your paddle on the bottom is common.

It's not as light as my full carbon Kialoa's but they are still pretty light.. The main thing is that they paddle well and because the blade is very light it seems like all the weight is in the shaft making the swing weight very good.. Also the blade size is perfect being in between the Methane and the Shaka Pu'u.

They are very simple in over looks and usage.
I just like the fact that kialoa offers a cheaper range of paddles now and it is going to help bridge the gap for them in the bottom scale of the market so that the guys and girls just starting out don't have to fork out massive buck for a paddle.

I will make mention also the new "toro" is an amazing little thing too.
