Hi Everyone
Been using a ULI 12'6" and love it but was thinking of getting a hard board to get better glide . Can anyone suggest a good board that I may be able to get secondhand not sure if I should go to 14' or longer but would like more speed/glide than I get now . I am 100kg and 183 cm

Any hard board you get will provide you with better glide and 14 will give you more glide that a 12'6. As far as specific boards most will do the job.

Looking at a Fanatic 14 carbon this board is 28" wide my ULI is 32" wide does anybody have an idea how stable the fanatic would be compared to the ULI.
Asking this because the boards are to far away for me to demo I will have to buy sight unseen.

With the volume in the Fanatic you will find it plenty stable. If an infaltable is not properly inflated I believe it is the hardest thing in the world to ride so you shouldn't have a problem with the Fantaic 14.

PERFECT board for you. So happy I ran across this post, haha. You should definitely get the 11'5" Tower Social. It has 223 liters of volume -more flotation than any other board out on the market that I've seen. It is also surprisingly light and much shorter than other high volume boards you will find. A board like the 10'10" Nalu would have much better glide than your Uli and be just as stable if not more.. A couple of shops down here are selling their demos.. You could try shops up your way.. 14 would be a better way to go but they are big boards to handle and store.. Even lifting on and off the car roof isn't easy compared to smaller boards.. The new 12'6" Glide is very stable and another good choice.. I have one and it's my most used board.. The 14' NSP is also worth checking out.. Even new they are a good price.. The 12' NSP is also good.. Try and demo that 14' Fanatic if you can.. I think you will find it plenty stable and have sooooo much better glide that your old wobbly and 'stick to the water' Uli.. .. Inflatables have their place for sure but if you don't need to roll it up a hard board is defiantly much better IMO.

^^^ +1 for the Nalu, got an 11'6" (110kgs 191cm) and although I spend more time in the waves on a smaller board now, still love it on flat water & small waves, it's got a decent enough rocker for waves & DWers, but cruises on flatwater nicely. Kids & wife enjoy it and it's got a few mates hooked.

Well got my Fanatic 14 carbon beautifull looking board.
Tried it in the river nice 5k paddle, board very fast and glides well ,very happy.
Sunday down to the ocean 15knt wind and 1/2 to 1 meter chop paddled out straight into the chop and wind found it a bit tippy but paddled great then the turn around , hell I need to practice much more I really had trouble staying on in the cross chop and was very uncomfortable and unstable on the board.
Probably a bit to much board for my experience level but I will grow into it.
