Does anyone know what electric pump I can use for my red paddle inflatable sup?
It would have to pump up to at least 15psi.
I have a damaged wrist and pumping it with the hand pump puts alot of strain it.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks

I've heard that Naish will have an electric pump coming soon and theirs might fit?

Hi,
Check-out the GIZMO's we are using in the UK to help do the last bit of inflating. I use a camping air inflator to fill to board and then top off with a Gizmo attached to an air compressor. Be careful how long you leave the air compressor connected for as 2 things can happen; 1.over inflation of your board and, 2.most cheaper air compressors don't like being run for more than about 15min. Red Paddle Co now also do a High Pressure Pump - making inflation to higher pressures much easier.

Happy paddling,

Pete

I've got the Nash electric pump. It's awesome, you set the required pressure and it shuts off automatically when it's reached. I'll never inflate by hand again!

I made an attachement from vinyl tubes and plumbing attachement. I asked someone in the hardware store and for about 10$ I attached the end of my hand pump to the small car compressor... the attachement was not a problem... but it takes forever to inflate with a small compressor... I still need advice on a better compresor. You can also buy those here coloradokayak.com/collections/sup-accessories

More specifically you might want this one : www.windsurfer.co.uk/SUP_InflatableSparesAndAccessories.htm#Blue_Chip_Gizmo

Like Viatormundi , i have the Mistral Bravo Pump. Works perfect, inflates until 14,5 psi has enough battery capacity for three boards. Can also be connected
to the cigarette lighter in the car. No attachment needed for all major brands and i am pretty sure tht includes Red Paddle. If you want more than 14.5 psi you have to pump
manually after the pump stops automatically, but thats not a big deal, rather easy with the new slim handpumps almost everyone uses now.

I thought I'd update this thread given I'm looking for a high pressure pump.

I recently tried one of the high pressure 4wd 12v tyre compressors With a Schrader valve adapter on the SUP. They can be bought on ebay for around $100. It works and takes around 5 mins to get to 18 psi

The only problem with these type of pumps is that they run really hot in order to generate the pressure. The heat creates steam and condensation with results in water being pumped into your sup! It's not a lot of water but enough to get a spray in the face when you let the air out of the SUP. I didn't think that any water inside was a good thing as it would get mouldy.

As far as I can see the only 12 v option is the bravo pump ( around $250) which does 14.5 psi ( I think a few of the sup manufacturers rebrand it)

Bravo also now have a twin cylinder hand pump that will reach 27.5 psi, they claim and easy to use. Around $100.

Red paddle have also released a double barrel hand pump at a somewhat rude price ( I think ) of $160.
