Hey Remyy, my thoughts on waxing the carbon. Don't do it
Spend a little extra and get the Flying Objects deck grip. The good people at Stand Up Paddle Sports in Osborne Park will put it on for you.
Wax is messy, melts, gets on your paddle and board bag and you have to keep re-applying. You will go through lots of it.

I put wax on top of my deck pad - best grip you will get. I like to feel solid on whatever I surf........bit of wax on the paddle or whatever is fine by me.

Star Touch deck grip is great, better then I thought it would be, its like 1mm thick, clear, light and non slip when wet.

I put the OAM deck grip on my brushed carbon Starboard, I was tempted to just go with the star touch but I wanted a comfy surface for my feet to rest on. Soft I know but I do like the deck pad. Just my opinion is all
