any one had any experience with the new coreban bomb. Looks interesting at 9*33. Is it just me or do those rear quads look like they're set too far forward.

NOT RIDDEN IT but as a progressor board it maybe really good, the plan shape has the 33" wide point dead centre with a narrowish tail and nose so you may get the stability you need but it will still perform on a wave as well. Just a thought.

Ridden the Bomb in waist high soft waves, went very well for what is designed to do.

Super stable

catches waves easily and has no surprises for ya.

It will never turn like a good 8.0 but an 8.0 is not a board some folks could ever ride, ( im 87kg ) It was really stable paddling out and turned to catch waves on a dime.

I would say that if you are a heavier bloke, wanting a better turning board but need the volume or ride in choppy conditions and want to get some performance without falling off all the time, then this is a great board for you. Also like to be able to mix up the Quads and Tri's to suit the conditions.

Regards
