I have been using the same fanatic carbon 100 for several years now. Bloody light and easy to throw around which is important in the surf. That lightness is gold on a long paddle or race on the flat. I find the blade size the best at 7.25" it allows me to get it through the water quick and get lots of strokes in without creating alot of strain on major muscle groups. As with all paddles it is good to try as many as you can before you buy so I would recommend doing that if you can.

I'm 80kg 5'6" and I tested the fanatic 80 carbon 7.25 & 6.25 with onshore chop 18-20knts (on board fanatic falcon 14 x 26.75). I'm assuming the carbon 100 is slightly better. Both paddle were light and nice to paddle but I prefer the size 6.25 though I would buy both sizes to use on different condition.
