Ok so any tips on picking a paddle?
I currently use an adjustable fanatic pro8 but want a fixed as keep smashing myself and board with adjuster bit.
Seems blades going smaller, and some blades are glass, handles carbon.
so many to choose from!
SO im looking at the Quickblade Kanaha. good choice for a beginner to intermediate wave supper?
or stick with fanatic and get a 7.5 pro fixed?
or others....

Fanatic Innegra carbon 7.25. Really the best and lightest paddle you could use. I've tried lots of different paddles and this is the best in my book.Smaller blade is so easy to paddle and does not feel like it's going to pull you off the board if you dig deep to catch that wave and higher cadence gets up speed.

cheers for reply, was a toss up between the fanatic innegra 7.25 and the keNalu wiki. Went with the wiki for 2 reasons, warranty/replacable parts and grip on shaft. I have a pro 8 fanatic adjustible and find the shaft can be slippery at times. did like the look of the 7.25 tho but after a paddle this morn happy with my purchase.

The Ke Nalu Wiki is a great choice if you like the feel of a small blade (84sq") with a powerful catch.
There's now also a 74sq" Wiki which is great for smaller paddlers.
I personally prefer the 84sq" Ho'oloa for surfing......it's 1/2" narrower than the Wiki but the higher aspect ratio provides a slightly softer catch and more drive.
