Which one? Converse +, Element or Nose Rider?

Hello Everyone,

I am going to be ordering a new board soon so I was hoping to hear some feedback about these boards. I currently ride a 2014 8 x 28 Pro. Would like to add a "long board" SUP to the quiver.

I am looking at the following 2015 models:

9'5" x 30 Converse +

9'8" x 30 Element

10'0 x 30 Nose Rider

Has to be a Starboard. Construction will be Brushed Carbon. I weigh between 77 and 79kg so floatation has nothing to do with the choice. I want it to surf well, handle less than ideal conditions and allow for some time on the nose.

Thanks for reading.

I've ridden the Converse and the Noserider. Didn't think much of the converse. The NoserIder however, was a pleasant surprise indeed! I really found it fun to surf. Long noserides were easy and it turns nicely from the tail. It would be my choice of the three.

Thanks Zuesman! I really like the pinned out tail on the Nose Rider!

Kieranr - They look interesting but I have heard many different opinions concerning the "Meyerhoffer" design. You've surfed it? What did you think?

Not surfed the Noserider but it has a lot of folks who do not rate it....and they are experienced long boarders. The problem is a huge thick nose which probably makes it easy to stand on but how many true noseriders have a volumous thick nose......none! You would be better off with the Drive....a proven shape that is good on the nose.

Forget the starbies, get a Laird surfer. The 11'6" has been taken out of the range, maybe the 11' as well ,but if you can find either size in composite grab it .Great fun surfing, noseriding boards. We have the 11'6" ,wife flat paddles it and loves it ,I surf it ,it is great fun..
