I'm trying to find a board to buy as a gift for a male, 80kg, 5'10, who's new to paddle boarding, without spending too much over $1000 for a package. I had no idea would be so hard! If anyone has any suggestions of what I need to look for it would be extremely appreciated. :)

Hi Alyce..... please tell us how he will be using the board... for flat-water paddling, serious training, possible racing..... or surfing.

I recon a new Sunova Flow about 9'2 but you'll have to spend double and get a decent paddle too.

Oh, and by the way, I'm 90Kg not 80kg and about 6'
