Just wondering if anyone can help me with my decision
I am looking for a fast ocean board that is also good on flat water

My choice at this stage is to go for the Sunny King 14ft Ocean Racer.
Nick from Sunny King is very helpful and said the Pro would be perfect, with a 29" wide deck, also his package deal is very good with the bag and Carbon Paddle at around $1500 shipped.

Is it wise to pony up to his Carbon version with a 27.5" deck?
I am 5'10" tall and 82kg

IMO it depends on what your priority is..

The 27.5 is going to be better on flat water.. with the 29 being better in ocean conditions..

If it was me I'd go with the wider option.

Thankyou for the reply.
I made a typo, the carbon is actually 26.5, so if you think that 27.5 would be tippy, then 26.5 would be more so.
I'll go for the 29"
Thanks again.

Good idea.. if you ever get into doing downwinders you'll be glad you went for the wider option..
