Can anybody compare a SIC Bullet V2 with a One Evo 2.0 for downwinding? I have the bullet and my friend swears by the evo, but he came from a Jimmy Lewis rail so I'm not sure if he's comparing apples with..

Sounds like your mate is a very smart friend Both boards are great boards and in some ways can do the same things as they are both built for riding bumps. The Evo 2.0 is a board that can be surfed of the tail but also something that can be rail steered very nicely from the middle as well and in some ways has a very similar feel to the ONE storm 2.0, The Evo 2.0 has always been a great all around ocean board. I have ridden the bullet a few time over the years and it feels nice for what it has been designed for and the SIC guys always make a nice board so really either way both boards are nice.

Construction wise I know the Evo 2.0 is as good as it gets and we build them Bomb proof for race boards and if in Australia the retail on a Evo 2.0 about $800 cheaper.

Disclaimer I do own ONE.

I had the chance to try both back to back and I had the same conclusion as Jacko. The Evo has more range than the V2 and I liked it even more so in smaller bumps due to the rail steering. It also felt much more comfortable to me surfing bumps off the tail.

The EVO 2 is a good looking board. I like the tail. It is a big volume for me but otherwise would have definitly tried a 26.

I have a 14 x 26 EVO. I agree with all of the above. I have had quite a few boards and IMO the EVO 2.0 is by far the best flat deck ocean board I have used. It has a much wider range of use than the bullet. I purchased the Elite construction. It is light as and beautifully made. You won't go wrong.
