Hi all I am in the process of designing a new rotomolded fishing sup I am hoping to have made here in OZ. I want to get a wish list of things people would like to have included in the design. I have a bunch ideas of my own but would love to hear other peoples thoughts. I can't guarantee that I will be able to fit everything into the final design but I would love to hear your thoughts on what works, what doesn't and what you would like to see in your ultimate fishing sup. Feel free to comment on anything and everything from preferred size to how many rod holders and what kind of storage options you would like to see etc.

Good seat as my milk crate hurts my bottom

I hear ya Towny:) Some people prefer an esky for this purpose but I have been thinking a dedicated seat or purpose designed comfy seat/esky combo could be a good option. What do ya reckon?

maybe a waist belt or clip or something so if you're casting for flathead in sand creeks, you become the anchor point leaving your hands free to cast/ stalk etc. ordinary anchors are good but walking over sand flats is better if the craft is attached to you somewhere.

My son goes squidding on the 10 Mana.He has used a milk crate with a pull off padded seat that also holds his rod holders. Inside the crate is the mandatory 6 pack esky and containers for bait, jigs etc.We certainly enjoy the calamari regularly.Apart from the Mana its a real cost effective set up but you still need good reflexes and balance by the sixth beer.Good luck with the project reckon it could really fly.

Some sort of paddle holder so you can stash it in vertical position and get it back in the hand quickly when you realise you are drifting straight into some oyster encrusted stationary object.

and of course there are some extremely ugly "fishing sups"........if i was running expensive electronic stuff would maybe rather have them in a kayak

This has been high on my list from the start. I can't believe more boards don't take this into consideration.

Which sups do you consider ugly and which ones do you find appealing?
I won't throw up my initial design sketchs yet, but my current thoughts of overall design and aesthetics are based something along the lines of racing sups rather than the surfing shapes with a modern racing yacht/stealth look to it.
